In these uncertain times, The Willink School is committed to providing a continuation of teaching and learning in the event of a partial or full closure due to Covid-19.
Throughout the spring/summer lockdown our staff used a variety of approaches to keep students engaged and motivated including live and recorded lessons, learning apps, online feedback and extension work. We have continued to spend time planning and refining our tools and techniques to prepare a remote learning experience that delivers a high quality education.
Students out of School who are self isolating
Following guidelines from the Department for Education we are required to provide teaching resources for students who may be self isolating.
If your son or daughter is self isolating they will be added to a Students out of School (SOS) group on ClassCharts where they can access learning resources.
Subject teachers will post work in this ClassChart group linked to topics in the curriculum that are being covered in the classroom with students in school. Students should complete the work at home and bring it in to school on their return to be assessed.
IMPORTANT: Students should change the homework due date timeframe to "Next 90 Days". That way they will see all the SOS work that has been set. Please see screenshot below. Also, students should not mark the work as completed each day, the work is designed to last the whole duration of isolation.
