The Willink is a successful and oversubscribed school with a strong international ethos, listed in the top ten non-selective schools in Berkshire in 2019. The school has 1250 students on roll including 220 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading.
We have experience and expertise in Initial Teacher Training and professional development and are a strategic partner to the Teaching School Hub Berkshire. The Willink is the lead school for the Mobius Maths Hub – a national centre for excellence in the teaching and leadership of mathematics education.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, motivated and inspirational teacher to join our enthusiastic, ambitious, dynamic and very supportive English Faculty. The successful applicant will have the skills to motivate and engage staff and students, and to enrich the lives and learning experiences of our young people. The faculty teaches English Language and English Literature to A Level and opportunities to teach media are available. The role may include some English intervention teaching. Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover)

We require a committed and ambitious colleague with a real passion for the provision of high quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and outstanding Mathematics Department (80% of students achieved a grade 5+ and 40% grade 7+ in their Mathematics GCSE in 2022). We are looking to appoint a teacher to teach across the age and ability range. There is the opportunity to teach A level Maths students for a suitably qualified and passionate practitioner. About half our students follow Maths/Further Maths at A Level.

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and high achieving Science Department Faculty. We specifically require a biologist, but you will be teaching sciences across Key stage 3 and key stage 4. An interest in and an ability to teach psychology to A Level would be advantageous.

Mandarin Language Assistant
- Grade B (£20,441 – £20,812 full time equivalent).

We are seeking to appoint a fluent Mandarin speaker with excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin, to play a key role improving students' Mandarin listening and speaking skills and join our outstanding Languages Faculty.
As Mandarin Language Assistant, you will support the Teacher i/c Mandarin in teaching students to reach their highest potential. This will include conducting conversation sessions, improving students’ cultural awareness, assisting with events or outings organised by the department and developing teaching and learning resources. Previous experience of working in a school is not essential, however you will need a genuine enthusiasm for Mandarin, with an engaging personality and motivation to work with young people. A willingness to learn new skills and contribute ideas is equally important.

Performing Arts Technician & Curriculum Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an individual to assist the Music Department and Performing Arts Faculty by offering a high standard of curriculum and administrative support. The MTCA will provide support for Music department clubs and lessons and concerts and events for the performing arts. Cover Supervisor
- 24 - 30 hours per week, term time only, plus 3 training days

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to oversee classes of students aged 11-16 for which work has been set during the absence of the class teacher. The role will involve ensuring that the class is well managed and students work productively - also providing in class support when no cover is required. Other duties may include small group intervention. This role is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a school environment as part of their career development and will offer invaluable experience to anyone wishing to pursue a career in teaching.

School Receptionist

We are seeking to appoint a well-organised, experienced and outgoing individual to join our busy reception team. We are currently looking for three days Wednesday to Friday to cover the School Reception which is open from 8am in the morning to 4pm in the afternoon (Less half hour unpaid lunchbreak).
The post is part of our Administrative Team and reports to the Business Support Managers. Duties include, answering the phone, registering visitors, administering the students signing in and out, overseeing student “runners” and other administrative tasks. You will be working on your own in Reception, however guidance, support and training will be given.
